VP Quayle was roasted for his misspelling of potato Why was Obama treated similarly? Because the MSM doesn't report on what he does that is funny, mistaken or illegal.
This is just another in a long string of statements, from the "57 States" debacle to "Cominsky Park" and beyond, which demonstrate that this President has a profound lack of familiarity with both the country which elected him and the culture he pretends to represent. Nevertheless, as long as he continues to champion the Progressive / Liberal agenda his ignorance on other matters will be overlooked by those who support that agenda.
And anyone who has heard the song would know how to spell the word - it's just drilled into your head.
This is clearly someone who wasn't raised with that song as part of their heritage. Yet, since it is a black singer, everyone gives him a pass on the lyrics.
I wish the press would report on his really big blunders, like the one that the government can do a better job on health care than private markets can.
If you recall, he even flubbed the words to the swearing in, in Jan 2009. It had to be re-done (in private!) He was elected as part of some popularity contest, and not as a CEO or Commander-in-Chief. He has no skills that are suitable or adequate for the job description as described in the US Constitution. So in line with that, of course he doesn't know how to sing the words (letters?) to that song. Apparently he is not even a very good basketball player either.
These are skills or talents that many have projected onto him, probably based on what they HOPE that he is, most likely due to their own race-based perceptions.
Joe Biden is probably the inspiration for many of these expectations, as he anointed Obama as "the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy."
The comparison that Joe was making is pretty obvious from his words here. Although we wonder still if Joe will "rspect" him in the morning.
The last president that had the gravitas/experience/ethics for the job was Eisenhower. I think Goldwater did, but we got that worthless, lying sack of 5h|+ LBJ instead.

Or any of the gay bars he ever visited in Chicago, either,
