Two topics caught my eye 50,000 not deployable and a the return of the 5th Special Forces.

50,000 military are not deployable due to admin or medical reasons. It did not say if that included weight control program in either category. Half are immediate call up reserves and half are regulars. about four thousand are commissioned officers. They are being divided into two groups 30 less and 30 plus. Meaning can be deployed in 30 days or less or not deployed until more than 30 days has past. This is the start point but they are considering a check box on their records deployable or not deployable as a beginning.

The Army is cutting another near fifty thousand down to 450,000 half their highest strength levels. 50,000 equals three divisions with combat support elements. Of the eleven authorized. At current levels no more Desert storms much less taking on Russia.

One of the reasons Obama doesn't explain his strategy. It's weak and he made it that way.

There are another similar number always not deployable due to schools, etc. that's 20% of the strength right there. 70% is considered combat ineffective.

That's the good news if the fat fart program is not included who knows? So I'm hoping such crap as ethnic exceptions are the first to be declared non deployable and bounced the rest can be salvaged perhaps a bit sooner,.
