Last year I gave coordinates to a place few people know about, a place that is a kind of a real life Galt's Gulch only its located right in the middle of a National Park, hidden from the world. If it all comes down (the economy), this is where I'll be.

    If THSHingTF happens, of course the propane being flown in won't be possible. Then other methods will have to be utilized. But it works now as an option. It wouldn't take much to turn it over into a self-sufficiant enterprise, which of course would be essential. The directions to the place are in the title to the article. Google Earth will take you right to it.

    Where? I may join you...along with my hubby. But, you may need to think of alternative provisions, if (as eilinel says) TSHTF.

    Really, if everything falls apart, there won't be any new supplies coming in, so then what?
    My plans are to have enough supplies stashed that I can lay low and "hide in plain sight" for awhile. Then, my personal Gulch is here, with my 18c living history buds: http://www.historicmartinsstation.com/ga...

    You do! That is amazing! They have a mess hall there that runs off propane. The propane tanks are flown in by helicopter once a week. The only way there is by llama, by foot, or by helicopter. But they have a nice mess hall that serves food any time of day.
