If they know it only infects single celled creatures, then they have been experimenting with it, Idiots!!!

OK, the real reason for the story comes to light in the third paragraph - Climate Change!

  Saw that. I'm more concerned about what they are foing with the virus. Viruses don't die. They hibernate when exposed to cold or an improper growth medium. Given the right conditions, they come back. Think of what would happen if the cemeteries filled with small ox victims were open up and the bodies moved. The virus would escape (possibly) and with few vaccinated against it any more, a real ad time would ensue
  The same could happen if the idiots in Siberia start fooling around with 30,000 year old viruses from the permafrost.
