Has anyone thought about a three-state solution? Abbas seems to be a lot more moderate leader of PLO than Arafat--even says he accepts Israel's right to exist. So why not consider accepting Palestine as a state minus Gaza? Gaza is geographically separated by Israel from the West Bank anyway. Hamas-led Gaza could go its separate way as a pariah state and to hell with them.

With respect to Jewish settlements in the West Bank: Israel could agree to set boundaries along 1967 lines. Settlers could have a choice to return to Israel or become Palestinian-Jews just as there are Israeli-Arabs in Israel--subject to and protected by Palestinian state laws in a similar manner.

That was hard to read. Obama is going to talk tough with Netanyahu? The Iranians fear him cause he has shown he'll use military force? Is he living in an alternate universe?
