When asked "Who is John Galt?", how do you typically respond? The inventor of the motor? The man who stopped the motor of the world? The best within each of us?
We're looking for the clearest, most concise, answers to help promote the message of Atlas and the film. So Gulch... who exactly is John Galt? I am a productive person. I ask nothing of my fellow man other than the ability to trade freely and fairly and ask only of that in return. I respect all, and expect the same to be shown to me but will vigorously defend myself, my rights, and my liberty against any that choose to use force upon me.
I am John Galt.
John Galt is the manifestation of human spirit uninfluenced by the irrational.
John Galt is a human being no greater than you or I save for his rational exile of fear.
We live our lives on the continuum between thought and fear; at the first end of this scale lies John Galt.
John Galt lies at the rational end of the thought-fear continuum we call existence.
But, when I do I take the best among you with me.
1. Creative
2. Conscientious
3. Disagreeable. (meaning he does not bend what he believes in just to appease what society thinks).
He believes that one man can make a difference, and that it takes one brave man to be the first to stand up, say no, and stop doing what society says is the norm when that man knows the norm is not always in the right.
