I thought this was a pretty good essay, as it lays out some of the more problematic issues surrounding the Non-Aggression Principle.

The criticisms listed at the end of the following pages provide some good rebuttals as well:

    This guy has absolutely no idea of what he's talking about. The only problematic issues surrounding the NAP is that of those wishing to impose or steal and deny individual freedom.

    Libertarians base their political policies and morality on unalienable rights of the individual. From that is derived the right of property and non-initiation of force and defensive force appropriate to the aggression.

      Except for consequentialist libertarians. Their moral philosophy does not use the NAP as a foundation, as it's an inherently deontological ideal.
