It's a bird. It's a plane. It's Jetman!

"It's official: There's something more ridiculously daring than skydiving, and it requires a jetpack. In a new video by Emirates and Jetman Dubai, two men—ex-fighter pilot Yves Rossy and parachuter Vince Reffet—soar through the sky, dipping and diving around a massive Emirates A380 airliner, held aloft solely by jetpacks. The tiny airborne men are dwarfed by the airplane, which at 238 feet long is the world's largest passenger airliner. Together, the behemoth A380 and the nerveless men perform a beautifully terrifying synchronized dance through the sky, and the entire stunt is filmed from every angle. It's undeniable proof that man was meant for flight."

While I was watching this, I kept imagining "Air Force One" on the airliner and ISIS logos on the wings of the jetpacks.

    How scary is that?

AF1 will usually have a fighter escort flying CAP. These are on the bounce, dedicated pilots who take their job VERY seriously.

I agree, but how do you shoot when the enemy is already between you and the airliner?
The only way you could possibly stop such an attack would be to take out the plane the jetpacks were launching from, or to take them out immediately after they jump.
I once watched a video of multiple shooters trying to take out a fast moving drone, once...not very effectively, I might add.

The basic guided weapon. However, the attack scenario would involve either flight shortly after take-off or on approach when the aircraft is most vulnerable. Any other time, the aircraft is usually at altitude flying too fast to be a viable target. Bet you the sequence was set up for the A380 to be flying at a slow speed and the altitude at FL 120 or lower. At FL 180, the air gets a bit thin and hypoxia begins to be a problem. That is why, on commercial airliners, one pilot is always on supplemental oxygen when flying above that. I think the attack scenario would have to take that into consideration and provide supplemental oxygen to the attackers or the attack would have to be at a FL where it would be unnecessary.

Same with aircraft in the air put out some bullets or an explosion and let the other aircraft unavoidably fly into it.l Jetpacks would be like mosquitos. High numbers and acceptable losses. For that you revert to suicide pacts ...ask a Muslim especially those who have managed to weasel world their way around the anti suicide procision of the Koran. You see when it comes to following the rules they claim to live by they are no better than anyone else. Just like todays university students. Ah Hah...There's your source of ....mosquitos.

standard technique is massed automatic weapons in dense pack lines at right angles to the flight path start shooting before the aircraft passes overhead. Wall of projectiles is created with no way to go left, right up or down. No of much use without at least a battalion and no one masses their unit's that tight or they become the target. one round in the intakes hits the fans and then the shit hits the fans...so to speak. Never seen it practiced except decades ago for an indirect fire demonstration and that's the wrong direction.
