“American Atheists is an organization devoted to the hatred of God. How on earth could CPAC, or the ACU [American Conservative Union] and its board of directors, and [ACU board chairman] Al Cardenas condone such an atrocity?” Bozell said.

So how am I supposed to hate something that I don't think exists?

So it looks like an Objectivist isn't going to find a home in the Republican Party either. Darn it all!

not in CPAC. In fairness, American Atheists has a major agenda and it is all things hate when it comes to religion. I am forever amazed at the time and talent devoted to the dismantling of anything religious. Ignore it! Atheism is NOT a club. jeez. CPAC has a clear definition and American Atheists Org does not fit the definition.
Personally, there are soo many important issues to be informed about and to influence-why would atheism even need to be a platform? Of course, I'll submit, your religion should not be a political platform either.
CPAC has it wrong on two of its foundations.
    1. Traditional Family values, belief in God
    2. Strong and Large national defense
    3. Limited govt

First, there is no way to legislate "traditional" values-unless you want traditional values legislated-which would be a fail.
Second, support of a large and strong national defense. Let's just support the vast and powerful military industrial complex and be big fat hypocrites! We say we support smaller government but in this one area we completely *believe* government knows best and spends frugally on our national defense??? absurd. govt does military like it does every other thing. Why do we have to be the police of the world?
    The platform SHOULD be
1.respect and enforce the rule of law as laid out in the Constitution of the United States (which would mean getting rid of alot of laws and agencies which do not fall under balance of power)
    2. Limited intrusion and support for a federal government
    3. divest many federal powers back to the States where they belong
