yep. When I had a laptop with built in camera, I fashioned a little slider from a 3x5 card and taped it over the lens. Let me open/close as needed.

Whether I have anything to hide or not isn't the point. It's my privacy and I do not give up that right for anything unless a proper search warrant has been issued.

Ditto. Only time I ever use my webcam is to talk to my family when they travel or on the rare occasion of a birthday.

I specifically purchased at computer without the built in camera. I have one that I can plug in if I choose to use it, otherwise it's in a drawer.
