    Yes! I see the same human greatness in modern telecommunications technology.

    In 1760, one of the richest people in the Americas made a donation to a church had his name, the date and the current British king inscribed on a pew. The king named had actually died two months earlier, but it was not considered a mistake. It was a fact of life that it took months for major news to be available, even to the most powerful people in the world. It was 100 years before the first transatlantic cable.
