Before reading this today, I went by the fast food window at Sonic and sipped on a Coke Zero on the way home.
I even nibbled on one whole French Fry!
I've driven while eating something not messy to eat like a quarter pounder or an Arby's sandwich during road trips that take several hours.
I do not intend to stop doing that down here in Alabama with no business or relatives in Minnesota, despite my Swedish surname..
I'll just keep an eye peeled for cops I've seen talk on cell phones while driving their cruisers.

Minnesota is the 2nd most nanny-fied socialist state per this study:
    http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/h...

Alabama is the least nanny-fied, dino.
    More data in this study:
    http://www.thedailybeast.com/gallerie...
MN is 20th most dangerous overall with AL at 26th,
but for "Careless or inattentive driving" MN is 26th worst, and AL is safer at 44th.
Neither justifies the idiotic MN law. Its nothing more than a statist revenue fee designed to make EVERYONE guilty and increase state control over honest people.

Objectivists in MN should seriously consider a move to AL, and leave the socialists and their stupid laws to freeze their to death in MN.

“Inattentive driving relates to anything that takes your attention away from those obligations of every driver, which is to pay attention.”

Does that include kids and dogs? What about having your boss in the car? Those are way more distracting than a cup of coffee!

One thing I teach students is how the PO questioned her, trying to get her to confess, multiple times why did you get pulled over, what did you do, even if you know why shut up and let them prove it.
What a joke though, the law was passed and the community didn't even know. Wow!

I drink coffee almost every time I drive. I only feel like I'm pushing it when I drink coffee and use the ham radio at the same time.
