    First, Trump is a waste of skin, just so you know my opinion ;^)

    The thing that no one dares to mention is that if Ben Carson was white, he would never have polled over 0.1%, and he would never have been included in any debates or taken seriously. He is on the stage because he is black and the GOP needs to appear to be egalitarian. Carson is also probably intelligent and appears to think rationally for the most part, which is to his credit. He has shown little evidence of being a rascist, so he has those things that make him a better choice than the looter in chief.
    But be assured, Carson is in the race because he is black, just as Trump is in the race only because he is rich.

      Despite some of his protests about some mainstream topics (like the pyramids were used for grain storage) that seem less than on target, I still have to go with the belief he is the best of a poor set of choices. He has given some good pontifications in the past 2-3 years in interviews, mainly on Fox, but also at some other venues. There is no good, clear choice here, and yes, Trump is indeed a waste of skin.

        Carson isn't enough.
        It isn't rational to expect government to reform itself. It won't. The pendulum of power has swung too far toward government and away from liberty.
        The people must take back the power, nullifying many laws by not complying.
        The time has come to misbehave.

          It seems strange we have reached a point where both parties are almost identical in their level of fanaticism, yet seem polar opposites, and the real vets (people who served in the military) are forced to become 3rd party candidates. I would like to see what happens if Jim Webb hooks up with Lindsey Graham.

            Not really one is the right wing of the left one is left wing of the left and both belong to the Government Party (Coalition.) Same party same sheet of music.

              That may be so, but how would you ever find a non party member? The system is always going to present you with their own slate. Each side will continue to force their will upon us in some violent manner or another, whether through physical or legal force. Not a good set of choices at all...

    I'm trying to determine whether, in this Grim fairy tale, Carson is just Sleepy, or if he's actually... Dopey... with his half lidded eyes and propensity to mumble, he seems to me like he's been hanging out with Doc a little too much...

    At least we know who the "Wicked Stepmother" is...

    Carson can't win the election, IMHO. That's one reason he's "leading in the polls". Another reason we keep hearing about him is that the special interests with the deepest pockets want him. Want to know what I mean? Watch the evening news and pay attention to the advertisements. Trump could win. Nobody else in the GOP can beat Hitlery. This is just how I see it. And, please understand that I'm not a Trump fan. I'll only vote if Rand gets the nomination. Otherwise, I will officially be found at the pub during the vote. I'm taking that night off...as a sort of personal holiday.

      Again, not many choices to be found, but I can't believe we can survive 4 more years of corruption at the current level. The last 8 years of special interests running the bus off the road has drained what little reserve that may have been left, and neither party has done us any favors. Jim Webb might be a good choice if he would just have someone show him how to loosen up, I really liked him as SecNav, he stood up for the enlisted community, and didn't play political crap on us. He's just so damn stiff...
