    B. This will be the last of the A.S. Series. Make sure that you don't sell out. The greatness of the work itself will eventually make a career for a good actor or actress or director who is less-known but cheap.

    B. Getting the message right. Everything else proceeds from this. See my YouTube video "Why the Atlas Shrugged Film Adaptation has Failed (and will continue to fail.)"

My answer to this would be "A", the casting. With all due respect, I must say that I much preferred the cast of the first movie. I found the actors to be much more believable and endearing in some cases than their counter parts of Part II. Can you bring the first cast back for Part III?

    Thanks

A and B. I liked the original cast and you could have saved the money from paying the "known" actors in Part II to use it for Part III.

    B. Adapting the story to be more compelling, not merely keeping to a literal retelling. What would Ayn herself use as a device in lieu of the railroad, if she would be writing her novel today? Apocalyptic Zombies...or perhaps the unequal distribution of an individual's right to stake a claim in outer space? Tony Stark in Iron Man maintaining his intellectual right to his creation was delivered effectively, IMO, because we were rooting for Tony. Here's hoping the rioting of the moochers isn't what leads to the wonderful world of Panem...

I've said this all before but it's worth repeating. B. Getting the message of Atlas Shrugged right. With both A & E you can get B.

Both Part I & Part II were well done and the message was right. I've shown my copies to some friends and now they're reading the book and paying attention.

The masses aren't going to come watch unless dragged by a friend, so trying to hit the mass market is a waste of effort. Better for the bottom line granted, but still a waste of effort.

Casting of big name known liberal progressives would ruin the experience for me and destroy the credibility of the project. I'd rather see unknown or lesser knowns that would hopefully read the book, and even more hopefully 'get it'.

Getting the message right is the movie's top priority, including special effects. Also, please make this one just like the first 2, don't make the 3rd one into a musical just keep it the same.

All of the above should be a "priority"....am sure, as committed you are - all these things will come together, just take a leap of faith when you have to.

I believe getting the message out correctly is most important. I was a little upset with part 2, as there were only about 10 minutes of new info and the rest rehash. I am waiting for part 3 though.

    B. Getting the message of Atlas Shrugged right
Main stream media can't find the news unless they are hit in the face woth it, and then they deny it.
It is going on right now. All this stuff they are putting out on the media, is hype whle they hide their real agenda; One World Government!

i apologize to all those who feel the casting is the most important issue for part 3, but as others have stated here already, what's done is done, and it's largely pointless to spend energy into bringing back cast members from part 1.

IMHO, the most important issue is getting the message of Atlas Shrugged correctly conveyed to the masses while telling a good story which captivates the audience. and if it takes longer to tell that story, then so bit it — audiences seem to be growing more used to lengthy movies, so long as they're interesting.

i submit that the contemporary masses were not as brainwashed by collectivist philosophy as they were mid-20th C. it seems that most individuals today barely even know what liberty is. many appear to believe that the source of the individual natural rights with which we are born are derived from the State, rather than from the Creator (whatever one believes "Creator" to mean) above and beyond corruptible and mortal man, thus making the State a "god" unto whom all should serve.

among the goals set forth by those among this Atlas Shrugged effort, i feel it paramount to reveal to the masses that the political notion of "left VS right" or "liberal VS conservative" is a lie, while the TRUE battle of ideals is between the philosophies of "collectivism VS individualism". not having read the book but having seen parts 1 & 2, i perceive that this is being conveyed, but i hope part 3 winds up hammering it home.

in order to continue waking up those who still slumber while our individual liberties are being usurped all the time, we among the greater liberty movement which includes various branches of the individualist philosophy need to keep striving together in order to reveal such fundamental truths — people divide over lies, but they unite over truths.

I would also like to 2nd the sentiments of several others ... and that is that I MUCH preferred the Dagny and Hank from Part I. I thought they were perfect. They looked like a couple that would go together and also physically matched Ayn Rand's depictions of those characters. In addition I thought they were very believable in their roles: Dagny the beautiful, highly-intelligent, take no BS, decisive, and strong-willed business woman; Hank, the consummate problem-solver, innovative engineer, passionate about his work, yet hurt and confused by his family's lack of respect for his accomplishments and provisions (though he would never let them know that).

I think the Dagny and Hank in Part II are fine actors as well, don't misunderstand me, but after having read the book I think those two were mis-cast and did not match Ayn Rand's depictions of the characters they played. The Dagny character did not fit my image of the striking, head-turning beauty that could win the pageant if so inclined, but instead decided to use her brain and run a business. The Hank character did not fit my image of the industrialist steel tycoon. I didn't see engineer when I looked at that guy. He would be believable in a more physical role I think.

So, after all the comments, has anyone taken note of the responses and returned a percentage? That would be nice. Ok, where's our Statiticians? :)

I believe answer B (Getting the message of Atlas Shrugged right) is the number one priority. Otherwise what's the point of producing the movie? Now that being said if it is not a highquality film with solid acting, cool special effects, etc no movie critic will take the movie seriously and discourage others from viewing. Furthermore, people who don't know anything about Ayn Rand or the book itself will not be interested, so they must be drawn in, and when they see the movie the message of the book must be communicated effectively. Then I think we can say mission accomplished.

Let's be honest though.. trying to communicate Atlas Shrugged in 3 movies is really hard. Ayn Rand so painstakingly developed her characters and themes to make her points its hard to replicate that in a 2 hr movie format. Having 20/20 hindsight, I think Atlas Shrugged would been better portrayed in a HBO style TV format like how they are doing Game of Thrones. Each part of the book could be a season and then you'd have plenty of time to develop the characters and tell the story. It would be so intriguing watching the drama unfold in this manner. So hard to do it in a movie format where you have to rush through everything.

I loved the casting of Part II. I wish you could redo Part I with them. Eddie's color did not bother me at all. If the screen writing for III is as good as part II, I will be happy.

    B. Getting the message of Atlas Shrugged right. You will never please all of the critics, or all of the fans. This book has remained relevant because of the message. That is why we will remember the movies.
