I would like to start a Hall of Shame, frequently updated, for the people who complain about the most ridiculously unimportant "microagressions." Such "thieves of offense" are responsible for more stupid government actions than all the rest of us put together. Maybe if they get the bad publicity they deserve, some of them will stop doing it.

Why not? But for pure entertainment purposes.
Keep in mind almost all of such idiots would never feel impressed by Ayn Rand and find their way into the Gulch as I did pretty well recently.

Is he suggesting that the government NOT be involved in one aspect of our lives? That will never happen since it would involve repealing something already in place.

What does "I can't paste anything save for here." mean? Are you having a problem posting?

It's weird. I tried to "Ask the Gulch!" why I could paste the link to the article you read and listened to in that said "Ask the Gulch!" box.
but was unable to anywhere else as I have done countless times before.
I was quite surprised to see a question meant for the head honchos being posted for all to read.
Oh, well, if someone does not want old dino to post with a link, I've stumbled on a way around that.
      I am dino.
      Hear me roar!
May as well pass around a +1 to all y'all.

        Allosaur,
Are you saying that you tried to create a regular post but you could not post a link in the URL box?

Yes, and that happened two days straight.
The first day I tried that with a different link and just gave up. It wasn't all that great and now I forget what it was.
On the second day I became frustrated over my that same day "Zero Tolerance" find. I used the Ask The Gulch box to ask what was going on. Doing so, I found I could paste the link in that spot.
Shortly thereafter to my surprise, that link somehow created a full blown post everyone started to read.
I've used Ask The Gulch before. A couple of months or more ago, "Reply" was terribly slow about placing one of those on a post.
I complained about it, I received a private response and it was fixed about two days later.

            Ok, a couple of points.

            1) The link you pasted into the Ask The Gulch box was hand-edited after you made the post. This was not and is not an automatic function of the site software. Rather, it was an admin going in and editing your post.

            2) Can you give me more information about not being able to create a post with a link? Can you actually paste into the link box, but not submit the post (you would get a duplicate link error), or can you not actually paste into the link box?

Don't worry about it. It happens. This morning I couldn't cut and paste the daily headlines from Townhall. Best thing is explain the technical difficulty and the way around it. "In this case. Monday on Town hall was boring. Tuesday is the opposite. A lot of meat and a lot of gas on the fire." That's a true life current example. What causes it? Moola Me? Not important nor germane. Has to do with MS (Mouse S--t) weenies who don't live in the real world.

Readin', Writin', and overReactin'. It's comedy, but it's all true.

I agree with on everything including discretion. We should be careful not to go too far down the path of relying on human beings' good judgment in not going berserk. We need rules that don't make over-reacting even an option.

First rule is that is not accomplished by rules. Morals, values, standards and a lot of practice. Everyone bar none has a breaking point. Most never recognize it thinking they can handle anything without snapping. First learn about acting and reacting then you find the tension point where over reacting becomes normal worse enjoyable. Not by rules...by experience. Every one will over react. Inevitable. So it's either slap the shit out of the kids, the dog or the wife or learn to walk outside and vent in other ways. Then think about what happened. What caused it how do I make a change in myself and others. Often it's done by walking away. The deciding factor? Is it worth the aggravation - or the cost of over reacting in lawyers and jail time at the extreme. No...he she it aren't worth it. Walk away. My life is worth more than yours. Where is that written as a law?
