    But did you read the description of the novel?

    "Atlas Shrugged . . . takes place in a dystopian U.S., one where industrial leaders disappear, depriving the government of their taxes and eliminating the livelihoods they sustained."

    So that's the ultimate moral purpose of Dagny, Rearden, D'Anconia, Galt, et al.: to pay taxes in order to sustain the livelhoods of those who live on those taxes!

    And to think I had it wrong all these years . . .

    No doubt. That is interesting, somebody likely didn't know what the book was about at the Department of Labor, but maybe--just maybe there is someone there who is a fan and is being fair.

    And 'The Anthem'. Someone reported that AS is the second most influential book in America, behind the Bible.

    I wonder if anyone in DoL has read the book?
