I've stopped buying GS cookies. Some of the money raised goes to the council and national. When I see a GS selling cookies I give them a donation. That they can keep in their local troop.

BSA gave over to political correctness when they accepted the openly gay. There is no reason for any sexuality in scouting. The day they accepted this new premise was the last day that I contributed to national or council. I only now provide funds to the local troops and only if it does not go to council or higher.
GSA is a little easier in this regard as the troops are truly independent, but GS cookies are still a fundraiser for council and national, so I refuse to partake anymore. I still give to the local troops, but refuse to support the upper organization.
Until just a year ago this was the oath or motto as it's now called;
On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.
There's a lot there that certain quarters find "challenging"
I don't even recognize them anymore.
