    This technology has been used for various civilian medical applications for some years now. I can see it being very useful for soldiers suffering from TBI, etc. Like every other beneficial innovation, it has the potential to be abused; but my biggest concern is that with government involved it will cost 50x more than it should. Fascinating applications for Parkinson's Disease at this link. http://www.mayfieldclinic.com/PE-DBS.... I have a Parkinson's suffering friend who had a Palidotomy and then one of these deep brain stimulation implants. Helped her become upright and ambulatory again......

    Hey I hope the research does help veterans and others with brain injuries. However, the methods used do seem rather extreme.

    I mean, I would be sure and remember (and do a lot of other things) better if I knew I was going to get shocked in the brain if I got it wrong!

    What was the new guys name?-- ZZZZZPHT -- Youch! 😁

      All you have to do to avoid the shock is to take this gun and go to the nearest community college. Then pretend to be a local militia member and start shooting people.

        Yeah the article has shades similar to the book "The Terminal Man" by Michael Chrichton. If I remember right the guy in the book gets electrodes in his brain and it all goes wrong and he then goes on a killing spree.

        Of course if nefarious people had control of such a thing, it would be a whole other book. A portable project F....
