An Open Letter to the Men and Women of the Connecticut State Police: You are NOT the enemy (UNLESS YOU CHOOSE TO BE.)

"An unconstitutional law is void." It has no effect. So says American Jurisprudence, the standard legal text. And that's been upheld by centuries of American law. An unconstitutional law is VOID. Now that is certainly true. But the tricky part is how do we make that point when the local, state and federal executive and legislative branches as well as the courts are in the hands of the domestic enemies of the Constitution. Everyone who is currently trying to take away your right to arms starts out by saying "I support the 2nd Amendment." Let me tell you a home truth that we know down in Alabama -- Barack Obama supports the 2nd Amendment just about as much as Adolf Hitler appreciated Jewish culture, or Joseph Stalin believed in individual liberty. Believe what politicians do, not what they say. Because the lie is the attendant of every evil. . .

Somebody should ask Prince Harry" if he's going to enjoy all the millions of people invading his Nevada when California people decide to say they've had enough?

We are both in alien territory, Star, I'm in California. We do get a lot more news out of Nevada and Arizona, but mostly on FOX. I often check out the MSM just to see how they cover national stories. Needless to say, bias is an understatement. Arizonans are standing tough with their Gov Jan Brewer. Harry is giving a lot of free stuff to folks in Nevada, but I think there is hope for them. You know that Bunkerville is not that far from Las Vegas. Good luck and thanks again.

Thanks for the contact tap2golf, I hope things are moving in a good direction there and most I absurdly want to tell you folks that you are in our hearts and prayers. I'm in Illinois and whenever a few shooters get together, the fight you are waging IS a topic that always brought up.

We also know that the MSM does not do us justice in reporting news there, so I'd ask that you please either update me via email or PM here - the word will go out from here and in a very short time 15,000+ shooters will know - and know what to do.

We just saw the BLM back down in Nevada, we have high hopes for struggle too.

    Thanks
    Larry

You are aware the constitution was written a century after Salem's troubles??? The laws that existed in Salem were followed to the letter - so much for those laws.

No one is an enemy unless and until they choose to be. But once they make that choice, it is their actions, not the papers they carry or the uniforms they wear, which determines how one should respond to them.

I'm not worried about our military, at least the former military. OathKeepers dot org.
Their oath is to the constitution, not the President, and I think they take that very seriously.

Yes, it is. Just like a cow that prefers to roam free, but always ends up in a herd and eventually eaten. What makes humans much different? Most of the human race will and have gladly traded freedom, when they had it, for food, security, or even entertainment. Clearly, humans like freedom, but don't value it much. America was an exception and I am afraid that this experiment may end in our lifetime.

Patlou below posted that gun ownership, and I suppose, freedom, is a God-given right. I disagree. It is a man-made concept (one which I highly value) and can only exist if men value and protect it. I doubt it that God is about to fight for what man does not care about.

It is mankind's natural yearning to be free. But it is his natural inclination to be taken care of, even if that means in a state of servitude. It is rare that man will seek both freedom and self-sufficiency.

Completely agree with you. The economy does have to collapse prior to any chance of a re-birth. However, considering the state of our economy, we may not be far off. And once the food deliveries into the cities stop, all hell will break loose among the tens of millions of hungry parasites.
Will there be enough on the right side? I doubt that anyone can answer that. The Hussein regime has been marginalizing the Armed Forces from day one and replacing them with the KGB, err, DHS. The police forces have already been mostly indoctrinated - they see every encounter with a citizen, even a traffic stop, as "us against them." I think that most of them will shoot their neighbors. As to the Army, NG, etc., that is the big question. The top generals have all been replaced with the Party, err, Hussein, faithful. The big question is what will the colonels and the majors and the captains do? If we'll live through it, we'll know. On the other hand, nothing at all may happen -- no rebellion, no civil war -- we'll just devolve into Africa or Venezuela. Freedom, after all, has never been mankind's natural condition, so we'll revert back to some form of slavery that will make the masses happy. Free pot today, crack tomorrow, 24/7 TV -- what more can a modern Neanderthal want?

the thing is, in this day and age, can those <20% put up enough of a stand against "the machine"?
It might be one thing if we were a small country and could move people quickly, or, if we weren't primarily middle class with a job, car payment, and a mortgage. That's why I think the only way America has such an uprising is once or economy takes a complete dump and no one has anything else to lose.

What new firearms control laws have come to pass on the National level under Obama's watch?

Our constitutional right to trial by jury served the witches of Salem very well.
To quote Ayn Rand,"The truth is only for those who seek it.

That is true, but I'm talking about those that actually take action, not just sympathizers. Probably even less than 20% of the total, but they make all the difference.

20%. I usually went with thirds. One Third in Favor, one third against. and 1/3 on the fence. the 1/3 on the fence sided with whomever was winning - but never really committing to anything.

The Soviet Union had a constitution remarkably similar to the US Constitution. Stalin himself signed it. No doubt it did well for those that invoked it on their way to the execution...

Historically, 20% are ever involved in doing anything. The 80% are sheeple that follow. As it is currently, I doubt that even 20% of the population are actually producing anything at all. So, if the small number of real producers actually do something, it may turn out to be decisive. And the sheeple will always follow.

Judging my the grammar and the overall way this is written, it was reviewed from the legal side and when it appears to be rambling somewhat, I think that this was required to clear the impression of a threat. It appears to me that it was written, or at least reviewed, by more than one person. So much the better; there's power in numbers!

Lol, Glen & me had stinking colds when we 'recorded' that one - hence the coughing. We'd been on the scotch too - which mysteriously led us to speak in Birmingham accents ;]

It is without a doubt a tome worthy of Ayn Rand but just like the speeches in Atlas Shrugged it beats around the bush way too much.
The only way anyone would have sat next to the radio and listened to John Galt diatribe in the book is if there was absolutely nothing else to do and they had really good batteries for their radio...which is something they probably wouldn't have after the economy collapsed and all the men of the minds went to Gaults Gulch. I guarantee that 90% of the people who got this viewed it as a crackpot diatribe and never actually figured out what the heck it was all about before they consigned it to the spam folder. I am in sales and you have got to make things brief if you are going to get people to understand what the heck you are trying to communicate.

poppin' off, and sticking to your guns, are two different things.
Mike verbally carries a large pair of nuts. Do the people standing behind him carry the same ones?
I have no doubt this country is a powder-keg. The problem is, half this countries response would be, "Start the War without me, I have to get the kids to soccer practice".

Sum that up briefly in a way that doesn't sound like a threat. The long explanation was necessary. But, give it shot. (pun unintended)
