This One Is Going To Bring Some Comments: Apparently One Of Our Ancestors Was A Pig

The hidden evolutionary relationship between pigs and primates revealed by genome-wide study of transposable elements

"It has not escaped our attention that many readers of physorg who may have availed themselves of our previous coverage of the human hybrid origins theory, and a later follow up report, might come to premature conclusions here. With that in mind, I talked the creator of the hybrid origins theory, Eugene McCarthy, to get his take on this new research. He had this to say:
"People have been congratulating me on this SINE study as if it somehow proved the hybrid theory of human origins. That's nice of them, but it's just one run in a nine-inning game. True, it does show that pigs are more closely related to primates than has generally been thought, which in turn suggests that a hybrid cross between pig and chimpanzee is more feasible than many have supposed. But to establish whether we're actually descendants of an ancient cross between pig and chimpanzee, will require a detailed search of the human genome, not just a study of SINEs. I've explained the relevant issues in a recent rebuttal of some of the most common criticisms of the hybrid theory. It's not as simple as some people like to think.""

Apparently, when women call men 'pigs', there may be some truth there.

If you think Darwin's Theory of Evolution caused an uproar, you aint seen nothing yet.
Step right up Ladies and Gents, just take a peek behind the curtain.

A recent PBS documentary on unraveling some of the mysteries of evolution in early human development showed that evolution has been much more complex than a simple 'family tree' structure. There has been a complex web of cross breeding between branches, some of which died out relatively soon thereafter and no longer exist.

One of the beauties of science is that a claim must be accompanied by reproducible evidence and that the claim must fit with all other confirmed facts.
This bunk offers neither. Anyone who asks can this be true doesn't know how to tell fact from fiction. This ranks with flying saucers. Consider that Chimp genes put five digits on the end of each limb but pig genes put hooves on the end of each limb. The chimp face cannot be fed by cloven hooves. Just like the Chinese picture it necessarily must starve. This junk and the people who believe it cannot tell the difference between existence and non existence. Where are the cloven hooved chimp skeletons? Chimps give birth one at a time not in litters. What does the hybrid do? Faith rots reason.

No wonder pigs taste so good. There's a little cannibal in us all.
Next thing you know is we'll find that chimps are a cross between a pig and a turkey. Well, there goes Thanksgiving.
This has started my twisted mind going. When Lighter Than Air ships mate, do they give birth to weather balloons?
When a conservative mates with a liberal -- is that how we get middle-of-the-road voters?
It is said that a camel is a horse that has been put together by a committee.
Help! Some men in little white jackets are coming for me.

Some midwestern University Missouri I think did a study on pigs drinking habits. Found out they preferred Vodka and Orange juice but also they never got drunk.

Most of the dietary taboos were created for practical reasons. Trichinosis was all too common in ancient times, so the religious leaders figured all of the people getting sick from eating pork must mean God doesn't want you to eat that meat.

Cannibal tribes on New Guinea created the term, due to the similar flavor of human and pig flesh.

Orwell's Origin Of the Species is now explained? I always wondered where he got the idea.

Of course. How else could you explain the characteristics of some people. When I was young I spent summers on my grandfathers farm in NC. One of my favorite chores was to "slop" the hogs. My grandfather was a meticulous carpenter and the through was dead level but the pigs always thought the one on the end was getting the best/most slop so they would all crowd into the corner, standing in their food, pushing, shoving and oinking. How many times have you noticed this trait in humans?

Figures. I have met too many two-legged pigs to doubt the hypothesis.

Since I am what I eat, this may help explain why I am fond of bacon.

I'm grateful for pigs. Before synthetic insulin was insulin taken from pigs. Without that, my father-in-law wouldn't be alive (he got Type I Diabetes at sixteen).

Plus, you just can't dis bacon. ;)

Is it logical based on this study to conclude that one or more of our ancestors believed in bestiality? Laugh a little. I'm trying to be humorous, not serious.

Yes. The PhD that did all of the original Hybrid research lists on his site, the differences between humans and all other primates and those differences all add up to a pig. He also has some historical and current information and photos that provide some pretty strong evidence.

Makes one wonder about the prohibition by the Jews and Muslims about eating pork.

Apparently pigs are very useful in medical research because of their many similarities.
