I miss what my Dad used to be.
A nonsmoker with lung cancer, he died in a hospice one day short of reaching 98.
Dad did not even know who I was unless I showed him me in a group photo kept beside his bed.
It was actually good for him to slip away.

What perhaps amazed me eve more is how easy it is for some people to disparage others for their personal beliefs. If he believes that it's now holy water, then to him, it is, tho...
