    As usual, money raised from taxpayers, spent by the church who gain the thanks.

    True story:
    In the city of Calcutta, India, there was a charity, management was combined Hindu and Muslim. It raised a big sum money for a specific cause and there was an event with a check handed over.
    Somehow, an outsider muscled in, an outsider who raised no money, who had no affiliation with any group who did. That person was Mother Teresa. Photos of her handing over the check were printed across the globe with great publicity.
