This is a sad occasion, a loss of some great masterpieces of American engineering.

They said on the news that the area had been checked for sinkhole possibilities before they built.
I hope the rest is safe, that is an amazing factory.
I would not wish that on any car, certainly not a Corvette, nor XKE nor even a Mustang. How sad.I feel bad for the 5th generation Camaros I see sitting out in the snow, while mine is pampered next to the C5 Vette in our garage. They are all works of art and tributes man's ability to design and produce. I hope they get all or most of them out.
Is there any connection to the other Ky. event this week, the gas line explosion in another town? Something going on under Ky.?

It'll be tricky, but I bet they get most, if not all, out of that hole. Of course, someone who is a professional 'Vette restorer is in for the boon of their lifetimes, however I bet the #1M & #1.5M go back to the factory to get restored.

The worry is... what about the rest of the facility... or the factory next door...
