To start with, these are people (well, mostly) and they're certainly entitled to their opinion. Further, as entertainers they have a following and hence a bully-pulpit. But what makes them think that world leaders would or should consult them on matters of policy? They're musicians and entertainers for goodness sake, and they enjoy no special talent or knowledge regarding world affairs.
