The mind fairly throbs and pulsates with the possibilities...why, if the lawyers can keep this b/s flowing, we might be able to retire the national debt!

Actually, Salty, think of the entrepreneurial opportunities to produce and sell Domestic Partnership Contract forms with various options for Pre-nuptial agreement already included! One would be limited only by imagination...

If that comes to pass, I think I'll start a new business selling tickets to the new divorce court! If you think divorce court is a lawyers' circus now, just wait.

I agree, AJ. The state of Alabama is moving to codify the only appropriate function of any government with respect to the matter: i.e. the documentation of a Domestic Partnership Contract between competent, consenting adults as a matter of practical business and record keeping. It would appear that some would like to retain the ability to force the signatures of dissenters of conscience onto a private contractual document. This root desire is not about equal rights; it is about belief control and minority special interest dominance enforced by government.[ People get what they want and then bitch because it isn't gift wrapped to suit them--what ever happened to live and let live?.] http://www.hrc.org/blog/entry/alabama...
