I'm very happy to have landed in the Gulch...I've been a software developer and engineering manager most of my career. I've been working for myself for over eleven years. I've grown weary of the mindless members of society voting to take money from the public treasury for their private use. I no longer trust the politicians who ostensibly represent my interests of self-determination and constitutionally limited government. I want to compete fairly and honestly, and I abhor crony capitalism.

    Thanks Brett. I started out in the electric power industry and after about 15 years I went work for a company that offered telecommunications systems. I owned a data backup company for seven years using the software that I created. Then I started a new company with a couple other guys to develop a massively parallel RDBMS; it never made it out the door, but we used it on some internal projects. For the last five years we've been developing a series of mobile services.

    Welcome Jeff! I'm an engineer, project manager, and intrapreneur, among other things. Kudos to you for being in business for yourself for so many years! You'll find lots of people who share your values and judgments here, like me.
    Can I ask what market or sector you work in now? I'm happy to meet and get acquainted with other technical people who became entrepreneurs here.
