What is truly, a real Democrat?

Greetings Gulchers, the following idea occurred to me a few days ago while doing some deep thinking and am hoping somebody can provide an answer:

After you strip away the Marxist platform the Democrats have wholeheartedly stole from the CPUSA, and after you strip the racist, segregationist KKK platform they adopted post Civil-War (remember Dixie-crats?) what then, represents a political platform of a true Democrat that's grounded in American ideals? For the life of me, I don't know. Any bright ideas? Thanks for any insight.

    The radicals in the Dem Party chased out the conservatives such as Sam Nunn. Then they pushed out most of the moderates (e.g., Evan Bayh). What remain are the Pelosi-Reid sycophants. There are a few old-fashioned Dems still around such as Pat Caddell and Doug Schoen, but they are commentators, not elected officials. People running as conservatives in the Jackass Party would be attacked viciously by leftist-elitist groups and their media lapdogs. Even moderates would have a hard time getting support from the Dem establishment. The days of Bill Clinton, when a Dem could run left of center, are over. Organizations such as move-on.org, Demos, and the Center for American Policy rule the Democrat roost thanks to well-heeled financial backers such as Soros.

      Hmmm. I see. So basically, there are no "American values" type Dems left. They've completely unmoored themselves from their beginnings. It seems that without Marxism, or their racist past, there is no political platform the Dems can establish as their own.
      Furthermore, it's scary to think that, without some form of extortion or exploitation of Producers, the Dems have NOTHING to offer people as a reason why to support the democrat party. That said, I can't fathom why a Producer would politically back such filth.
      Ok then. It doesn't quite satisfy my question, but thanks for providing the insight.

    This is very simple to explain.
    Daemos comes from the greek word Deamonos, which means "many", not "people", as were stated by our teachers when I grew up.

    There is a passage in the New Testament, where Jesus meets a demon-possessed man at a place called Gadara, and he asks the evil spirits in this man what is its name and the evil spirit answers: "Legion, because we are many".

    Now "Legion" is originally a Latin word, adopted into Greek, side by side the Greek "Daemon".

    Thus, Daemos Kratein means: Rule over many, i.e. Elite Rule.

      It sure was simple and easy to comprehend. If my inquiry regarded linguistics. Personally, I find linguistics fascinating. However, it did not answer the enigmatic question of what non-marxist, non-racist ideological platform that's rooted in traditional, American values (God, individualism, independence, freedom from tyranny) that Democrats can call their own?
