I did not see John Denver in concert.

I did see the Beach Boys in Honolulu though. Thought it was a great venue for their music.

    Maybe there no 'h?'

That year I worked on a three master to Tonga then crewed for couple of boats to Fiji and NZ. In all the time on the water we heard about those four I think Costeau first then Denver then Di then Mother Teresa?sp The other bit of news was NASA had a machine clanking around up on Mars. Back home in November I grabbed the weekly newspaper and one daily. The old ones from March or April were on the same table. Besides the weather which only took looking outside and the obits because of the names and the date it was all the same whatever. Been perfectly happy without newspapers ever since. turned on the TV and the first ear blaster commercial turned it off and disconnected the antenna whatever. kept the VCR and DVD player. When I left it all went to the neighbors.

Biggest lesson I learned was get rid of excessive anchors and shore lines and your boat will float and sail. Three months later I was single.

Been a great life since 1997. That was the year I set myself free thanks to AS, John Denver and the rest of the story.

Great singer. Very emotional, in a good way. Too bad arrogance and bad judgment killed him flying a plane after his pilot license was suspended.

I have never understood why certain rockers make fun of Denver. I'll take him over every hip-hopper that ever lived.
By the way -- hip-hop is not music. It's rhyming chanting, and the Gregorian Monks are better at it.

One of my favorite singers. I had intended to involve John in my space tourism venture, and teared up when we lost him in an aircraft accident.

I actually liked a lot of John Denver's songs. I saw a live performance in LA just before he died.

SCB's. I've always disliked (strongly) him. But he did write some decent lyrics.
