I guess "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
To me, good-looking means average, not ugly, not beautiful. Neither a Disney witch nor Cameron Diaz. Certainly not the description by Trump in the Rolling Stone article.

I could care less that they are black or yellow or whatever. I do care if they are incompetent, which Obama seems to be able to pick very well. Not being a really thorough listing admittedly, but they also seem to be primarily blacks who are also incompetent, which makes me wonder if HE is the racist one.

You dont have to apologize. I am just telling you how it appears to me based on the knowledge I have and my observations.

I DO have to say that I am pretty disgusted with all this pandering to the entitled black culture that is going on (for whatever reason). "black lives matter" particularly disturbs me, since "all lives matter", and police brutality should be treated as just THAT- no matter who the victims are.

I just want a real administrator to be president who will proudly represent the USA , not interfere in everyone else's business, and not have deficit spending or wanton printing of our money, and who is NOT politically correct. I dont want a king, some religious zealot, a socialist etc.

Not picking anyone from "the government" doesn't automatically make someone the best to hold a position in government. It's way too general a criteria to have any meaning. As is Trump's criticism of our current governmental mess. It's easy for many people to point out how "stupid" some of our politicians act. There are also a lot of people that have made tons of money in business, but that doesn't guarantee one is ready to uphold the Constitution. Just taking potshots at your adversaries is setting the bar too low for POTUS.

The incompetent people that he has appointed are clearly not limited to "black people"; so, all I can infer from your comment is collectivist thinking at best and racist thinking at worst. If neither is the case, I will apologize...and I don't anticipate I'll need to.

Categorizing people by race in a political discussion is as incompetent an argument as the actions of Obama's appointees.

Now there's an idea. Instead of voting on the popularity of one man, vote for the entire Administration.

I agree, but if he ONLY did political correctness for the next 4 years I am OK with it. We need that as a country to get us out of our guilty malaise frame of mind.

We have to estimate his qualifications based on his record. He deficit spends like no one earlier. He stays in wars and in fact expands them. He cant stand up to Putin , man to man. He seems to pander to muslims more than he should. He doesnt stick up for USA when he talks. I think these things speak loudly as to his qualifications.

I think we have seen all the people who are willing to run for president. Its very grueling, you get all your dirty laundry (political incorrectnesses) exposed, and it doesnt pay a lot while in office.
In todays society, we arent going to see a true blooded free market advocate actually running and coming close to winning. The entitled electorate wants goodies, and free market people are going to tell them to go out and work for them. The country has to fall before such a person would be listened to. Thats the way it was even in Atlas Shrugged, and also in present day Venezuela.

she is definitely NOT a good looking woman. Not to say thats a qualification for president- angela merkel is definitely NOT good looking, but so what.

In this country, being good looking as a woman does have benefits in business and government too. I would agree with him that she will get LESS voted looking the way she does.

I've been at least aware of The Donald for a good many years now, and love him or hate him, the one thing that I've always noticed about the man is that he calls his shots. And I have little doubt that if he were to be elected, Mr. Gowdy will be appointed AG if he chooses to accept. Further, woe betide the Congress that shoots down the appointment. Mr. Trump is, I believe, vindictive as hell and he has a LONG memory.

He may very well win the nomination, but his growth has not been as fast as some of the others that went from single digits to double digits quickly, while [Jeb for example], dropped like a stone. Perry, Bush, Walker, Kasich, etc., will drop out soon. Where their support follows will grow support for the campaigns that benefit. That may be Trump, it may be another, but there are enough votes in the rest of the field to overtake him.

I personally think the answer will be "anyone that has not spent their life in politics. "

There is still a long road to travel. Who has spent the least on self-promotion to date? Trump is not stupid.

Agreed. He's made his fortune by putting competent people in critical positions and ensuring they get the job done to his satisfaction. It commendable.

Trump is compelling if you consider who and what he is: a business man and an opportunist. He's done and said what he needs to in order to make a profit for himself and is completely unapologetic toward what others think. As for crowning himself the winner, of course he has. Trump already fully believes that he is the best and only person suited for the job - thats who he is, thats what has made him a billionaire. He also has a history expressing his dismay over the country's direction going back to the Nixon era.

I'm still standoffish but have to admit Trump is compelling. I do, so far, like his cabinet selections.

Billionaire Carl Icahn - Secretary of Treasury
Pit-bull Trey Gowdy - Attorney General

He's getting ahead of himself at the moment, as the smaller ones drop out, their support may not necessarily coalesce around him. Carson has been moving up as people are moving toward a more-likely candidate. Same with Fiorina.

So far, he has told us not to worry because he knows how to make "deals" and "get things done". Many kinds of people fit that description....

I'm not really concerned about that yet - it can take months to build that out in a coherent-sounding argument. He's too well-organized from a business perspective to not have people working on issues & details. It can take a while to make a real proposal that respects revenue needs versus giving tax relief, versus taking a deep-dive on cutting entitlements / etc.

I personally think he will govern much differently than a campaign, but the nasty truth in this country is, if you say "78% of the federal government is spent on entitlements, we need to look at entitlements"... 55% of the people would never vote for you. You lose by default.

We have more people riding in the cart, than pulling the cart at this point.

Since Obama keeps his college records hid, we don't know if he is qualified either.
Not to mention that birth certificate thing.

Strike Four. Members of the Government Party are not known for doing what they say. Or saying what they do.
