    Sounds like the game software business (with re-use reduced by continual tech improvements that produce dissatisfaction with the "old" versions.) Cigarettes, liquor, and razor blades, too.

    LOL, good point!

    Definition of the perfect product (from the producer's perspective): Make it for a penny, sell it for a buck, is habit forming and can't be reused.

    Or one might be in a satellite on the way to Jupiter, or on a drone defending Atlantis from pirates, or in a $50 product that one of us invents and uses the proceeds to fund Atlantis infrastructure (in his or her self interest, of course.)
