Is Dr. Ben Carson a Republican?

From his publicly expressed views on various political topics, one might assume that Dr. Carson is a Republican, but $5Au has never heard him specifically say so. However, his record of political donations seems to support the belief that he is.

    I don't really care if he is registered with a specific party (although anyone registered as a D, given the policies pursued recently, would give me great pause). I don't particularly respect many R's anymore.
