Eudaimonia's Thought of The Day - 04/27/2013

Today's Marxist Demagogues employ the Ancient Sophist strategy of manipulating words and language to benevolently color their malevolent shibboleths.

One of their well-beaten drums is their concept of "justice", especially when qualified: "social justice", "economic justice".

All shibboleths must be decoded - when the Marxist says "justice", they are really saying "revenge".

You mean, like "the virtue of selfishness"?

Hadn't thought of that. I'll definitely post some links in the near future. I've got to sort out two album releases soon but I/we are lacking funds to do so at present.

In my field (higher ed) terms like "social justice" and, to a lesser extent, "economic justice" find their way into workshops, textbooks, etc. all the time. It's actually a perversion of "justice" in the sense that accomplishing these goals would result in MORE poverty, not less. I try to ignore these ivory tower socialist wannabes, but occasionally, I just can't stand it, and unload on them. This usually results in a look of shock, followed by a kind of babbling sound when they realize I'm not one of their "liberal tribe."

Great! Truthful, whimsical... & very dark ;] I like An Accounting too.

I wrote a song & penned some lyrics a couple of weeks ago. It's a 'protest song' in favour of Capitalism. I'll post a link when I've recorded it.

Here's another website of mine & this is what I get up to in the evenings: http://meanderlane.com/music.html

I have no idea...only talked to him once..through the drive thru window lol It was a weird conversation. Planning on taking him a copy of AS, but I've had reservations about it... it might be a waste of a perfectly good copy.... sigh?

Wow! I loved reading that. I want to frame it. I think I know a Marxist Munchkin. He works at KFC and needs to read AS. He blames the "rich" for his position in life. (He has 4 kids to support, not sure how that's the "rich"'s fault, but none of it is his, apparently.)
    Great job Eud! Thanks.

Was just thinking that maybe I should have left myself some breathing room and named it "Eudaimonia's Thought of The Week".

If I keep it daily, maybe I can pepper it with levity and trivialities like: "I'm thinking pizza for dinner... yeah, definitely pizza."
