    Indeed! If we can survive the next 3.7 years of their bumbling we could perhaps see the light at the end of the Taggert Tunnel!

    When I bought my laptop, which came with a camera that I didn't want, I immediately stuck a self adhesive cupboard door bumper over it....ya know...just in case. :)

    Yes, but does it collect the data and then transmit after re-activation??? One can't really be certain nowadays, unless you are the engineer of the device, what it is capable of...

    I always wonder, how do you know your GPS, camera, or microphone are inactive with certainty, unless you pull the battery? Sure... I believe they are off when you shut them down, but how difficult would it be for them to turn stuff on remotely as long as it is in standby? With what we know of their abuses so far, I wouldn't put it past them...

    When I am prompted on my phone to answer, "Use current location"?, I always answer, NO!! Big brother is still capable of keeping tabs, but I will make it more difficult. Pfffttt!!!!!

    So true... who needs Orwell's telescreen when you have cameras and GPS tracking of everyone with a cell phone, or "On-Star" type systems in your autos?!?!
