Jack Lew: U.S. Default Could Happen Quickly
Don't see how this could happen. Given the amount of money taken in by the government, it does not seem possible that the US could default. There is an amendment (not sure of the number) that talks about the debt of the nation being the first item paid. If this is true and I haven misunderstood the pundit talk, we must pay the debt first and all else second. This mean we won't default unless Sec Lew and President Obama make a deliberate choice not to pay the debt. In which case they are in violation of the constitution and should be removed from office immediately or as fast as congress can act.
