Seriously! I never EVER mind helping out those who are *truly* physically and/or mentally incapable; but the SAD reality is there are a TON of able bodied/able minded individuals who could do "something." As Bill Gates said (paraphrasing) "Your ancestors called "flipping burgers" "Opportunity!"

I am not a doctor of philosophy, but perhaps I can elucidate the point...the reason it is "greedy" is because "greed" has been defined by those seeking to use it...what they fail to realize as they are just as "greedy" for power over those they call greedy.

They have to be called on it and exposed in a fashion that helps the serfs understand what is happening....not an easy task.
