Believe me, in my high school there were far more "bad" shirts being worn. I mean, if kids could wear a Grateful Dead shirts to school, and that says its own things about the wearers, an NRA shirt is really benign. I wonder which subject that class was? Irony if it was Gov't....

The disruption was caused by the so called adult in the room. I'm sure he took offense to the shirt because it advertises his failure to indoctrinate properly.

I think the half cut off sleeves were scary and offensive, but not the picture on the shirt. I think he should get a couple dozen similar shirts (leave the sleeves alone, cutting them is a distraction from the gun message) and wear one every single day until the end of the school year. That teacher should be sitting on the curb.

when I went to school I had way worse shirts on, that did violate the rules but no one said anything and I did not get jailed for it. In all reality that teacher should be jailed for being way too stupid for his position because if you can not use common sense at all, why would you be a teacher. There should be a law that if people do something so stupid and far beyond the realm of reason that they should take a class in reason hosted by citizens that know what reason is!

As I read this, he went through many classes with no problem... one liberal teacher wanted to make a point and he, an 8th grader, stood up for his rights....and for that he was suspended and ARRESTED !!! I did like how the other students wore their shirts in support of him the next day :) An 8th grader with a criminal record for standing up for his Freedom..... What the heck is this world coming to ... it is intimidation and it is way out of control....
