Thy Wet Nurse State
From the poem Thy Wet Nurse State:
Pay taxes, fight wars, mind our laws and decrees
For your pittance humbly crawl on your knees
Tis our privilege to inflict pain and disaster
We public servants, your lord and your master
Thou shalt not offend and thou shalt not smoke,
Thou shalt not Twinkie, nor drink too much Coke
Paying we are for your medical care
Improper health habits you shall beware
Pay taxes, fight wars, mind our laws and decrees
For your pittance humbly crawl on your knees
Tis our privilege to inflict pain and disaster
We public servants, your lord and your master
Thou shalt not offend and thou shalt not smoke,
Thou shalt not Twinkie, nor drink too much Coke
Paying we are for your medical care
Improper health habits you shall beware
Did you intend the Twinkie defense in there? I thought it was clever.
