As a nation, we sure love to play games. The election isn't until NOV. OF '16!! Are we playing crown the king, or racetrack gamble, or prime-time pilot? This time next year, there will be little resemblance to the chamber of horrors line-up tonight.

    Clever, sfdi ;^)
Politicians vs lions would be an interesting method of punishment for those who are corrupted and ignore their oath of office. Barbarism for barbarians.

I dont want any of those things you mention either. But look at the other candidates. Hillary would be a disaster and you would never actually find out what she did until it was done and done badly. Biden scares me for some reason I cant explain. The repub candidates are either grossly religious, or pandering politicians (except perhaps for Rand Paul or Ron Paul who would never actually win, or the black dude whose name escapes me at the moment). I would vote for Joan Rivers if she were still alive- SHE would definitely tell it like it is, but unlikely to even want to run OR win. I dont think Trump would win in the end anyway- the media hates him, but its definitely refreshing to hear him tell us the straight scoop

The honesty, imo, wouldn't come from Trump. Just my opinion. Another 4 years of increasing government size and power comes with Trump. I don't think he would have any interest in being POTUS if it wasn't profitable (in power) to Trump. Oracist and others have increased the power of the office through executive orders (blatantly unethical use of them) and that is a plum for Trump. There is no chance that Trump woould dial back the power and every likelyhood that Trump would expand them and use them unwisely for liberty. He has no clue of how to run a country; its all about ego and power. The sovereign people's rights aren't even a consideration. Handing the power of the US military and government to Trump is a red flag to a bull. He has used the law and the government repeatedly in the past for personal gain, not a problem for a businessman, but a big problem for liberty in a POTUS. Again, just my opinion based on observation of his actions through his career.

Well, Trump as a foil against the congress would not be bad. He couldnt get much done without the congress and the courts agreeing. We need someone who stands up for us citizens and tells it like it is. Obama's advisors are almost all idiots as it is. Bush was no better. Trump's wouldnt be idiots. If he did only the speaking out thing, I would be happy. Right now, we are being manipulated big time by lies and half truths for the advantage of the crony capitalists. Trump already made his money. It will be very expensive for him to be president, as it will take a lot of time and effort from his other endeavors. He is getting older and doesnt need money. He isnt a philosophy student unlike Obama (socialism), but we need the honesty out there for once.

Any team with Trump is a bad team.
1 imo, Trump is not wise; he is headstrong and will be foolish unless his own wealth is concerned, and then he will shove the risk on to someone inferior. imo, Trump thinks the people are all inferior to himself, so the people will get the shaft.
    2. In a Trump administration no one else gets any input but Trump. Only Trump knows best, and that decision process is dealt with in 1 above.
Just my opinion, but there are no real counterbalances in our government to restrain Trump. Trump is not Rearden. Trump has exhibited no significant ethics or morals.
I wouldn't trust him in any position of importance unless he could be restrained from considering his personal interests above the interests of liberty for the sovereign people. In this respect he is no better than any other politician.
He should not go on to the next program.

Hold all the debates in an open football stadium, and let us throw rotten food at the candidates!

I would love to vote for someone too, but I think the best we could get now is someone who at least tells it like it is. Imagine is Snowden was one of the advisors !! How about Trump as president and Mark Cuban as VP. Not a bad team.

pebbles in the road trying to stop the advance of tanks. The philosophy here is so altruistic currently that politics will follow it. We need to concentrate on the philosophical basis of freedom for once (the founding fathers DIDNT do this as they just tried to uproot and prevent the English rule from continuing).

The problem is that if the budget isnt balanced, our dollar will become worthless. If taxes are raised to pay for all these ridiculous welfare programs, there is greater chance that people will not want them anymore (especially those who have to pay). I dont know about the trade embargo idea. He has said they manipulate their currency to make chinese stuff cheap (which it is). The problem China has is that they are stupid and are taking our shrinking dollars. One day we will put capital controls on the use of those dollars here in the usa and the chinese will be screwed by their own stupidity. I think Trump is encouraged by the support he is getting and wouldnt take cash from Hillary or Bush to screw his chances. Hillary is a non event now- she will be upstaged by Biden on the Demo ticket.

I think it's refreshing. I think he'd be a disaster as a President. He'll raise taxes to "balance" the budget. Then he'll push through huge trade embargoes leveled at Japan and China. One hope is he will surround himself with other strong leaders to get stuff done-including the military. MOstly, I think what will happen is backdoor meetings with Bush and Hillary. Hillary will pay him to run on a third ticket and Bush will pay him not to. or there will be a scandal. Did you see already what's happening in Rand Paul's camp?

Agreed completely, but I want to vote FOR someone this time, instead of voting libertarian as a vote against the R's and the D's.

I disagree. If say 15% of any electorate goes for the candidate-those are real numbers to not be avoided by the winning candidate. The winner may just address those constituents in their policy making. It happened with Perot, and some of it has happened because of Paul. I do think the influence shows up more at the state level and not the national level.

Its a waste of time and money to run Objectivist candidates in this environment. Half the country, if not more, is made up of moochers already. It will take a collapse (as it did in Atlas Shrugged) before people change

I want to hear Trump tell it like it is. The others really just spout politically correct talking points. If our new president does nothing but speak whats on his mind, I will vote for him gladly. I hate the curtains Hillary hides behind, as does Obama, and really all the rest but a VERY few. We need one of the truth speakers to tell us when the emperor has no clothes !!

The most popular candidates would draw the most hotdog customers, who'd actually be dropping n for a chat.
"The Donald Hotdog" would likely draw the most customers.
Solution? Each hotdog stand does not bear the candidate's name, the candidate is not even there and the candidate would have to chose someone good at selling hotdogs.

Agreed. They need to restrict it to about 5-6 questions, 3-4 candidates, and then give them 5 minutes each for a response and 2 for a rebuttal. Sound bites are great for entertainment, but they do not qualify as real debate.
