Carver Mead: New Theory of Gravity

Carver Mead, a brilliant scientist, suggests in this video that Einstein was on the right track with gravity about 8 years before he formulated General Relativity Mead is highly critical of the trend in physics to put math above data and knowledge. I doubt that he is an objectivist, but in physics I think he is very close.

This is related to the article about mapping the Universe.

No sign that he's close to Objectivist epistemology other than superior use of reason in general.

There is a more complete account of Einstein's 1911-12 papers in terms of their background and context in Paise, The Science and the Life of Albert Einstein, chapter 11, but it doesn't integrate it as Carver Mead's theme and explanation, and of course doesn't relate it to more recent experiments or the upcoming experiments that would distinguish it with general relativity. Thanks for the link.

Is there a paper on it? I despise sitting through a video when I can explore a paper much more efficiently.

This was f***king amazing!! Now I've got an entirely new topic(s) to start studying.

    Txs for finding and posting.
Did you now about Mead and his findings before viewing?
