A friend of mine who is a radio guy had a nice segment about the 10th Amendment.

      Its always about the commerce clause. The biggest scam is right in front of our faces. They beg you to take the federal money, then use it to take away the 10th Amendment.

        Isn't the 10th admendment about the powers not granted to the feds are given to the states?

        Anyway, I agree, the menaing of the commerce clause has been perverted. I try to explain that it's intent was to make sure that commerce was not hindered (as in regulated not to hinder) trade among the states by tariffs and the like. Remember that the 13 colonies were like independent countries and many times obstructed trade with other states to their advantage. Am I close to right on this oversimplification? BTW John Roberts sucks by not judging obamacare on its merits, the commerce clause. But, nooooo! let's help them with another merit not presented before the court. Not telling anything new, it wouldn't have passed if the individual mandate was called a tax but was upheld by the supreme court becuase they interpreted it as a tax. Let's hope this law falls apart under its own weight. Lefty Rockerfella is coming around to admit the mess he help create.
