How did Margaret Thatcher change Britain?

Britain had become a very socialist country before Margaret Thatcher became Prime Minister.

    Mrs. Thatcher didn't so much as change Britain, as she gave back to its people a measure of self esteem, 'progressively' stripped away over decades by socialist policies.
