I am sure this administration will try everything to keep "Obamacare" going but if insurance companies pull out it may be all over.

This administration never had an intent to make 'Obamacare' workable or keep it going. Their intent and purpose is plain and has been since inception - Government healthcare.

Anyone that thinks or hopes otherwise has only filled their minds with the doublespeak of the collectivist and statist. Losing insurance companies, losing hospitals and clinics, and losing doctors, and with costs that are truly outrageous.

I just asked a broker here is what she said"as of yet, no they didn't take over the insurance companies. you can still buy it from private insurance companies. They may be less money. I spoke with one of the higher ups in an insurance company and he even said they were going to make plans that didnt follow the guidelines that obama wants, but it would still be cheaper paying the premiums plus the penalty, instead of buying through the exchanges."

What is there to allow since they gave the administration or whoever the best price they could based on the population estimates provided by HHS. If they provided all the same coverage to the private sector but the exchanges were filled with people that had no insurance or had preexisting conditions the private sector would be cheaper. Did the government take over the insurance companies? I might be too enthusiastic here but that would kick the looters asses.

What if the insurance companies can offer people lower insurance premiums that meet the Obamacare/ACA minimum coverage definition?

Aetna pulled out of several states just prior to the launch of website. So did Blue Cross/Blue Shield. This law mostly benefits AARP for some reason.

They have already tried to take down Aetna in the past. Now they are going after Aetna for political contributions.

In the past, Aetna was named in a suit for slave reparation. http://www.foxnews.com/story/2002/03/27/...

I know it’s a stretch, but doesn’t it look like they are trying to take down every known major businesses predominately owned by white men? Think about it: the coal industry, the oil industry, the insurance industry.

It makes my head spin. Hope the ACA law can be repealed at some later date.

All it will take to get to single payer will be for the government to pay off the sr mgmt. of the insurance companies. Bailout/buyout call it what you will, but the O admin is setting this up so that the ins companies have to fail and require a gov cash infusion. At the point that that happens, we've effectively lost the fight to stop single payer.

The public has ALLOWED every other bad thing he's done...why would this be any different? I can't believe he was elected two times...but at this point a third time wouldn't surprise me.. Baaaa-aaaaa

That will be the next step if the public allows it. I don't think it will work but I didn't think Bozo would be re-elected either.

Isn't that what he wants...to pave the road to single payer?

Good point John. The administration is heavily invested in this but if the "average" person turns on this in an election year things may (I hope) change

They can't. They are too invested in this. Besides, if things get too expensive for them, they have the 'golden parachute' of taxpayer bailouts. Why would they want to pull out?
