Learning to use GarageBand

Made using GarageBand and a clip from Librivox's audio book recording of Anthem (which is available in its entirety on iTunes for free if anyone is interested). I made this just as part of learning how to use the program. It's nothing great, just a bit of fun.

I've never heard of this site before. The music was a bit louder than the vocals so sometimes it was hard to hear.

What is garageband main purpose? It's definitely interesting when I figured out where to go button was.

I spent a few minutes playing with the volume level of each track (there are three) until I felt the vocals were louder than the other two tracks, but when I uploaded the track, it seemed like those adjustments didn't translate.

GarageBand is a Mac program that comes with their computers. The purpose of it is as a tool for musicians to create music. While this track was made using canned loops which come with the software paired with the Librivox recording, I've also been experimenting with recording myself playing guitar and bass through amplifiers and plugging them directly into my laptop. So far, it's proved to be the most versatile and most user friendly recording software I've ever used.

Several popular musicians use the program; off the top of my head I remember John Mayer and Macklemore being users. I would recommend it to anyone interested in such things.
