Rand would be appalled

This site allows users to rate the comments from other posters, and if enough people gang up on a given poster, it hides that poster's comments from view.

This "group think" is precisely the opposite of what Rand advocated, where producers such as me who do the work to put my views out there are destroyed by collectivist thought.

This site doesn't value Rand's principles, it values doing whatever is necessary to "win". It represents everything destructive and evil about American-style Capitalism today: Those with the power establish the rules, and lock everyone else out of participation.

Shameful.

Wow, 9 hrs., 17 mins. after joke explanation, and still stares blank blind me. Remember how Johnny Carson would explain a joke, and gesture a third person observation of how bizarre it was that explanation was necessary?

Hmmm. The Colonel's column-inches has actually grown since the new comment rules' implementation... considering the stiff competition, I may consult my doctor about my brand of virtual Viagra. Edit: it helps to read my reply aloud with emphasis on the word "stiff." time of edit: Post t. + 10 hrs., 12 mins.

So sayeth JGISSD, that final authority on all things Objectivist, that braintrust and confidant of all things Randian, that sage of Platonic wisdom imparting the perfect forms of his gifted insight to all of us lower, stupid, stupid, evil, stupid, greedy, stupid creatures.
    We are truly blessed.

What I miss? Is there a site I can visit to see a preview? Is the movie going to be public domain, Creative Commons, or standard? *Narrows eyes in true gumshoe fashion* Is the movie due out before or after Atlas Shrugged: Part II and if the former, are you sure you're not working for ASP?

I'm glad we are all agreed then, that this site is the height of hypocrisy, and populated by blow-hards who would do damned near anything to keep alive their false narrative that it's morally acceptable behavior to act only in your own selfish interests.

I'm also glad we are all able to bond together into this collectivist hotbed, where individualism is discouraged in any cases that conflict with the majority of the group.

The fact that others have found this post and replied proves that the anti-preacher can be heard too. At some point, however, the choir wants to learn more than a one-note samba.

You can't hide behind Rand's principles in one breath and then deride them everywhere else. That's a "stolen concept" - in the attempt to devalue Rand's philosophy, you bank on the very principles that it rests upon.

And you can't complain about the site not valuing Rand's principles when you've made it clear that you hate those principles (and, I believe, the people who hold them).

Everyone on here has been more than tolerant with your sophistry and disinformation. If your ideas are not resonating (which should not be a surprise to you, unless history starts anew everyday for you) then maybe it's time to check your premises and see where your error in thinking lies.
