I could safely say that the cost of this kind of round will be well over a dollar a round. It could range up to a few dollars each. A 7.62 x 25 round could cause similar damage and penetrate most body armor except the more sophisticated military type. The 7.62 only costs a dollar a round or less if you can find any. I'll stick to my CZ and the ACP 380 round for self protection. I hope I'll never have to use it. But, if the banks start to fail and people start to rise up against this gov't, I'm ready to protect my family.

I have a .270 that has a tendency to go through things, but it isn't for home defense, the pump action 12 ga. is. The .270 is for plincking.

I have shot a lot of things with a lot of different firearms and had a lot of fun doing it, but I have never killed a person, animal or bird with a gun. I don't plan on ever killing anything with a gun. I have fun with bullets, that is their purpose for me. If I ever have to use my shotgun on anyone for home defense then its purpose will be to kill, but that would be only one of its purposes.

I have a couple of cases of double ought buck and a Remington pump for home defense. No kids and I don't plan on missing. I won't even shout a warning, if the pump cycling doesn't get their attention then it is a Darwinian issue.
