    well one could surmise that they hate gays given that they don't want them to have the same rights. Now I know you will respond with that not being "hate" but I think that's up for debate given the quote was referencing racism which is kind of the same boat

    This idea came to me that may relate.
    Consider the various venues and events that make up our towns and cities. There are Sporting events. Political gatherings. 'Flea' markets. Shopping centers. Factories. Office blocks. Street marches, and etc.
    Where are the police most and least in evidence?
    Seems to me that when people are engaged in trade and economic activity they are the most peaceable.

    Everyone should read at least one of his books. We could use an economist or two of his ilk today to counter the Keynesian view that is so prevalent today.

    He was a great spokesman for capitalism. Too bad there aren't many like him around today. We need about 100 people like Friedman to do what he did during his time.
