Technical Glitches

So a "technical glitch" shuts down United Airlines and the NYSE on the same day. I'm trying to think what kind of conspiracy theories will start to surface.

Only three things could effect two completely different systems at the same time; 1) a CME from the sun, (we didn't experience one that day in that area...the one in NZ and South Africa was a CME related event) 2) a cyber attack, which is most likely. and 3) the market was going poorly so they shut it down and used United Airlines as a cover; (here is your conspiracy theory for ya)

Wow! Is that an understatement or what? Feeling terribly unrepresented and ignored for the longest time. And, it just seems to be getting worse.
Maybe its just me, I may be getting oldtimers or something.

You probably saw reports that Anonymous had an ominous tweet about NYSE the night before. China, North Korea, and Russia have motive and ability. So do factions within our own government for that matter. We have a had a lot of false flags in our history. That's my short list of suspects.

The Emperor has No clothes theory has garnered some support.

    > Brigadier Preston-Jago of the Royal Army Maintenance Corps
    > was undergoing a court-martial for an incident where he was
    > found to be chasing a young lady through the hallways of the
    > Grafton Hotel, Catterick, Yorkshire, England, in which they
    > were both residing.
    > Neither of them were wearing any clothing whatsoever.
    > The main charge was that of "being out of uniform."
    >
    > The Brigadier's lawyer, a clever cove, argued that the
    > officer was not "out of uniform", as the regulations read,
    > 'An Army officer must be at all times be appropriately
    > attired for the activity in which he is engaged.'
    >
    > Brigadier Preston-Jago was acquitted.

Something B-Rock and Bye 'den should keep in mind.

I sure dont believe what we are being told. If I had to guess, I would suspect some hackers or hacker government penetrated into these systems and our government wants to hide that.

    SPOILERS FOLLOW.

In the novel, a group of Japanese businessmen manipulate their government into starting a war with the US for patriotic reasons. It starts with a computer attack that stops the New York Stock Exchange from recording any trades, beginning at noon on a Friday just after a bill that will hurt trade is signed into law. The bad guys try to enrich themselves on the resulting fall in the dollar against the yen.

The good guys not only figure this out but turn the tables, in a very clever way that I believe would actually work.

I seem to have heard in passing that the value of the Chinese market dropped by a third. If true, that's not a correction, that's a crash. Of course a "no big deal" attitude would be the best to portray so as to not cause a further sell-off.

Nope. Good book. He died under some suspicious circumstances. Some of what he was writing about was too close to home.

They win by saying what the sheeple want to hear. Once in office most act in their own best interests. I also think the ideas are being forced into the culture by the New World Order cooks at the UN.

I disagree -- politicians win popularity contests. They are not the source of the problem, the root cause. The source is the ideas in our culture. So learn and educate our fellow citizens for your life.

Best source is Ayn Rand's non-fiction and fiction. Also read the flow of work from ARI (AynRand.org) sponsored scholars.

I just heard a talk today by John A. Allison on his new book, "The Leadership Crisis and the Free Market Cure". It's stunningly accessible and grounded in extensive experience and success.

Am I the only one here who has read Tom Clancy's Debt of Honor?

I talked to a friend this morning about this. She feels she isn't doing enough. She is the most politically active person I know--sends e-mails, calls reps...Not sure what more we can do. Nothing seems to change.

    Let's get some facts straight:
    1. Two instances have no statistical significance.
    2. A "technical glitch" says nothing about cause including malicious attack.
    3. If a source gets caught lying they lose all credibility with the benefits that brings.

We will see what is learned and published in the technical and security press.

richrobinson---so many people I know feel the same way, yet everyone seems to be at a loss as to what to do. Presidential candidates??? It doesn't seem to be a question of who is the best man (or woman) for the job, only a question of who will do the least harm!
