this sounds like the beginning of a very interesting horror novel. the woman who gave birth to these kids is the good twin, while the evil twin is the one in her ovaries and their biological mom. while these kids were birthed from the good twin, they're actually evil. when strange crimes begin to occur in their small town, no one suspects them...

A woman get pregnant a generates a set of twins.
One twin absorbs the other.
from the absorbed twin tissue and organs continue to develop and take over from the first twin.
for example there a documented cases of men having one blood type and a different tissue type. there are also reported cases and this woman appear to be one, where the ovaries of one twin develop in the other.
Another famous case is Andrei Chikatilo (Russian serial killer) who is claimed to have had a blood type and semen type that were different.

I once worked with a girl who was blind in one eye because her twin was attached to it. True story.
