"I am optimistic enough about this that I am willing to make a prediction. By 2035, there will be almost no poor countries left in the world."
-Bill Gates
So, the wunderkind of Microsoft wants us to believe that the poor countries of Asia, Africa, Latin America, and so forth, will turn around their economies in two decades? Really, Mr. Softy? If anything, the trend in many of these areas is toward increased despotism, Jihad, and economic chaos. To build these economies takes leadership of a high order based upon sound capitalist principles. Does this sound like Haiti? The Sudan? Bangladesh? Didn't think so.

- 2Posted by Danno 12 years, 2 months agoGates essentially stole an OS, lied to IBM, and then turned the crank on computer hardware vendors who did not fight and dumb customers who followed every command. Amiga was a pre-emptive multitasking os with gui and full multimedia way before Windows got there and even Apple with the creaky Mac OS Classic. The Dumb Shall Lead. And now we have the adored Jonathan Ive ruining iOS GUI.| Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink

- 1Posted by richrobinson 12 years, 2 months agoIt takes strong leadership from a country that has done it already like the USA. Unfortunately because of Gates and his cronies we are heading in the wrong direction and we have a weak President. I wonder how funny that quote will look in 2035.| Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink
