Hate to say it, but my old insurance coverage (wich cost me $104 a month back in the 1980's, when I paid for it myself) ran $1250 a month in 2011... it was 75% subsidized by my (then) employer, but yes, things really *are* that crazy. And when you get the dotgov involved, you can EXPECT you're going to pay Government Prices - kind of like the $850 screwdriver.

And the private, confidential unlisted number? What, do you really think, once the looters have their probiscus attached firmly, they'll let their free meal escape while it's still living? Its the same reason the "Terminate" button does... nothing.

The fines will start out small, but will build quickly and then all the extra, armed agents will have full authority to intimidate, harass, confiscate..... They aren't concerned with kinks because that why no matter what you do..it will be deemed wrong and you will have to pay a penalty. Win win for them. And we ALL lose. Thank you, stupid Obama voters.

I wonder if there is a fine if you lack the funds? There must be something they do before canceling you, and if they do have to cancel you due to lack of funds, I wonder if you will start getting threatening e-mails from some federal agency. OOOhhhh scary. They are going to take a whole 1% of my income.

How do you fine a person, who doesn’t have insurance, who files jointly with someone who has insurance? How does that work?

Turbo Tax is probably having a meltdown trying to work this law into their software.

And what's up with the auto payment withdrawals from people's accounts? I'm just going to say that again... Who is comfortable with opting for AUTO PAYMENT via a government website. Holy hell...this country is brain dead on sooooo many fronts it's mortifying.
